The Greater Manhattan Community Foundation is a non-profit public charity serving the greater Manhattan area. The Foundation is a collection of many different charitable funds, each separately accounted for, and each with its own design and purpose. Together we are building a better community by promoting philanthropy through creative donor services.”

The mission of the Manhattan Community Foundation is to enhance quality of life, both today and in the future by:

  • Enabling donors to fulfill their charitable desires
  • Building a permanent endowment
  • Facilitating prudent management and care of funds

Project EXCELL
Project EXCELL (Extending College Education for Lifelong Learning) provides personal enrichment and life skill classes to students and adults 18 years and older with developmental disabilities. This program provides opportunities for students who may not otherwise be able to participate in a college environment. EXCELL offers Saturday morning classes on the K-State campus in fall and spring semesters. In 2012 Project EXCELL received its first grant from GMCF in the amount of $1,200 to assist with classroom supplies.
