Ron and Dixie West Story

As historical scientists, Ron and Dixie West have a passion for history. As they worked to restore their current residence, the Fitz House, they learned of the home's rich history. It became important to Ron and Dixie to share this history with the community. They plan to leave the Fitz House to the Riley County Historical Society. In 2007 the Wests worked with their financial advisor to establish an endowment for the Fitz House through the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, as well as one named for long-time Wolf House complex curator, Edna Williams.

"We created something that others can add to. It is the pooling of money that will really provide the financial support needed to maintain these important pieces of Manhattan's history," said Dixie.
