Kids Who Care

The Manhattan Community Foundation established the Kids Who Care Program to help 4th through 12th grade students gain a better understanding of how philanthropy works and become more aware of the issues facing their community. A request for proposals is sent to area schools each fall inviting one-page proposals describing class projects that will benefit the community. The proposals are reviewed by a committee of adults and high school students who recommend grants of up to $300.
