What is a Giving Circle?
A giving circle "is formed when individuals come together and pool their dollars, decide where to give the money (and other resources such as volunteer time), and learn together about their community and philanthropy."
In Manhattan, two local giving circles are supported by GMCF, the Fairy Godmothers and Guardians. GMCF is the fiscal sponsor to ensure maximum efficiency in its financial activities.
