Growing Together: A Season of Impact and Reflection
Spring often feels like a season of growth and change, and it’s a good reminder of the process we see in grantmaking as we learn, reflect, and refine our work. We’ve completed two full cycles of grantmaking so far this year and will take this next season to let the seeds planted (awarded grants) take root and grow. Along the same lines, this season included Grow Green Match Day (GGMD), which was a huge success and will provide over $2.3 million to 102 charitable organizations across the area. We’re grateful for the generosity of our community and the collective impact made possible through this effort.
And while our granting making takes a bit of a pause after GGMD, we don’t believe the moment has to stop. At GMCF, we strive to be more than a funding source—we want to be a resource and a partner. That means listening closely and shaping learning opportunities that are relevant and responsive to your work. We recently distributed a survey to gather input on topics for our upcoming Lunch & Learn series, as many of you have shared how valuable these opportunities are for connection and learning.
If you haven’t already, please take a few minutes to complete the survey before it closes May 15. Your input will directly shape these sessions.
We hope this spring season can be one of reflection, focus, and continued learning and growth together. We’re grateful for the partnership we share with each of you and for the ways you continue to strengthen our community.
As a reminder, the second quarter grant cycle has now closed, and the next grant opportunities will not open again until July. The grant priority areas and guidelines can be found on the Grants page here: Apply for a Grant | Greater Manhattan Community Foundation
