First Tee - 2024

First Tee of Manhattan received a $7,500 grant through the YES! Fund to advance its mission of equipping young people with life skills and character development through the game of golf.

This year, 521 youth participated in weekly lessons at Colbert Hills, marking the fifth consecutive year that enrollment has surpassed 500 participants. First Tee also awarded a record number of scholarships to ensure that financial barriers did not prevent any child from taking part in the program’s transformative experiences.

A highlight of each program year is the culminating field trip to Colbert Hills for the final lesson of the season—a special day that, for many participants, is their first visit to a golf course and often the beginning of a lifelong connection to the sport.

With support from the YES! Fund, First Tee can deliver all outreach programming to families or partnering organizations at no cost. As the organization grows and reaches more youth each year, this funding provides critical resources to sustain high-quality curriculum and make programming accessible and affordable for every child and teen who wishes to participate.
