The House Cafe - 2024

The House Cafe is dedicated to breaking the cultural and generational cycle of poverty in Ogden, Kansas, by providing kids and youth with activities, resources, education, childcare, and tools to help them reach their full potential. They received a $5,250 grant through Grants for Greater Manhattan to cover equipment repairs, childcare staffing costs, food, games, prizes, game nights, and field trip expenses. All of their programs and activities are offered free of charge to families in the community. Through field trips and engaging learning opportunities, participants have gained lifelong skills like social awareness and appropriate public behavior. This year, they made a meaningful impact on 15 toddlers, 30 parents, 50 teenagers, and their families.
