Momentum at Mid-Year

The year 2026 has been one of significant change and exciting opportunity for GMCF. As part of the goals outlined in the GMCF Strategic Plan adopted earlier this year, we have welcomed several new members to our team. Shane Shively joined us in March as Vice President of Development, Christi Reiger joined us in June as Executive Director of the Atchison Foundation, and Jordan Pfeifer joined us in August as Executive Director of the Greater Geary Community Foundation. In September, Dene Kaster will join the organization as Vice President of Investment & Real Estate Services. These additions build upon the growth of our team in 2025, when we also welcomed three new staff members.

The addition of these talented professionals, combined with the many initiatives already completed or underway, has us anticipating another record-breaking year for GMCF. We have several exciting changes and program enhancements under discussion and look forward to sharing more about these opportunities with our fundholders, partners, and communities in the months ahead.

As a team, we are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support we continue to see throughout Manhattan and the surrounding communities. We are truly blessed to live in this region and even more grateful for the opportunity to serve our fundholders, donors, nonprofit partners, and community members each day. Their generosity makes a meaningful difference, and we are honored to be part of the work that continues to strengthen and improve the quality of life throughout our region.
