Friends of Zeandale Community Fund

Being a rural community, our goal is to provide safe, accessible meeting and recreational facilities for community members and visitors.

Because our community center had to be torn down, there has been a void in our community that we wish to fill.
Zeandale does not have a local place for the children to play and exercise. Adults also need a place to gather, exercise, and relax. With an increase of young families in the Zeandale area, we need to be able to draw these folks together.

Our playground equipment no longer met Consumer Product Safety Standards, and we had to make some changes for the safety of our young people.

The estimated cost for Phase 1 of the project completion is $175,000. The Friends of Zeandale Community has a goal of raising $100,000 to help complete Phase 1 of this project. We will continue to raise funds for Phase 2 with a goal of $175,000.

Individuals or companies may make donations which should be directed to the Wamego Community Foundation and noted for Friends of Zeandale Community.

We are offering the following community features for sponsorship with naming rights.  These can also be purchased in memory of or in honor of loved ones.

  • Tree sponsorship - $500
  • Benches - $1,000
  • Picnic Tables - $2,000
  • Volleyball Court - $2,500
  • Pickleball Court - $15,000
  • Pavilion – $30,000
  • Community Center - $75,000

We hope you will consider supporting this project and coming out to enjoy the Zeandale Community Park when Phase 1 is completed. If you have any questions, please contact Diane or Larry Hoobler, Laura or Mark Warner, Jan Taggart, Judy Kimball, Donna Parks, or Clinton Parsons.
