Patricia Lambert Swann Literacy Support Fund

The Patricia Lambert Swann Literacy Support Fund provides financial support for Manhattan Public Library reading and writing programs, including programs for individuals for whom English is not their native language. 

Pat Swann (nee Lambert) grew up in Manhattan, and her first job was working in the Library at the old Carnegie location and then later at the current location. This early experience nurtured a love of literature that led her to a doctorate and a career in research-based writing and editing. Her father, Jack L. Lambert, was a Library Board member and long-time proponent of the Library's programs. Pat intends this Fund to support reading and writing opportunities for members of the Manhattan community.
