2023 Juneteenth Concert

As part of Manhattan’s citywide Juneteenth celebration, the 2023 Juneteenth Soul Jam took over City Park on Friday, June 16, for a night of music, culture, and community. The free outdoor concert was headlined by Grammy-nominated R&B legend Keith Washington, whose smooth vocals and classic hits like “Kissing You” had the crowd swaying under the stars. The high-energy J Love Band opened the evening, setting the tone with soulful grooves and crowd-pleasing covers. Hosted by the charismatic Mister Gary and DJ Doctor, the concert blended entertainment with celebration, drawing families, students, and longtime residents together for joy.
