Shane Shivley
Vice President for Development
Shane brings twenty-three years of philanthropic leadership to the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation. His experience in higher education, including serving as the CEO of the Emporia State University Foundation for a decade before joining the President’s Office introducing a university wide approach to principal-level philanthropy, corporate engagement, and economic development. An executive, with a track record of successfully elevating organizations, board development, and growth minded strategic partnership, Shane brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the GMCF and the Manhattan community. Shane earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Emporia State University and Master of Education from Wichita State University. He enjoys spending time outdoors and at sporting events with his family. He is married to his wife (Mary) and they have raised two wonderful kids, daughter (Alexa) and son (Maddox), both attending Kansas State University.
