Business Afterhours Recap

Posted Tuesday April 9, 2024

GMCF hosted the Chamber of Commerce – Business After Hours(BAH) on Wednesday, March 13, in the Colony Square Atrium. Business After Hours is the Chamber’s signature networking event. It is hosted monthly at different member businesses and attracts diverse groups of business professionals.

Vern Henricks and staff enthusiastically welcomed 141 individuals for an evening of food, drinks, fun, music, basketball (Big 12 Tournament), door prizes, and NETWORKING. The evening proved a success, but not without a hiccup. On Sunday evening, before the event, The NCAA announced that our beloved Wildcats would be playing in the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday, March 13, at 6:00 in Kansas City—two exciting events on the same day and at the same time.

Due to the unforeseen conflict, GMCF and the Chamber of Commerce adjusted the normal BAH time to accommodate the Wildcat tournament schedule. There was also a large TV set up in the atrium so that professionals could network with sports. Excellent accommodations were made to include all.

To top the afternoon off, GMCF had two door prizes, including a $100 donation to the non-profit of choice, along with a pack of Legacy Ale. The Ale is a special brew specifically for GMCF in collaboration with Manhattan Brewing Company in honor of the foundation’s 25th anniversary.
