As part of GMCF's 25th anniversary celebrations, we dove into the foundation's history and impact on Manhattan and our neighboring communities. In a series of interviews, we sat down with nineteen individuals who have played pivotal roles as past presidents and chairs of GMCF, each contributing their time, resources, and expertise to make GMCF what it is today.
These interviews provided an opportunity to examine the foundation's evolution from a promising idea to a cornerstone institution within the Greater Manhattan Area. Through conversations, we gained insights into the aspirations of GMCF's founders, who envisioned a platform for local philanthropy that would harness the collective generosity and goodwill of the community. Their commitment to this vision laid the foundation for GMCF's legacy of service and support for Manhattan nonprofits.
