Mary L. Lowman

Mary L. Lowman, age 77, of Topeka, died June 12, 2017, at Stormont Vail Health in Topeka.
She was born July 2, 1939, in Manhattan, Kansas, the daughter of Vance and Kathryn (Crowder) Washington.
Mary graduated from Manhattan High School in 1957, and attended Kansas State University and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
On July 26, 1959, at the All Faiths Chapel at Kansas State University, she was married to Frank A. Lowman.
Mary was a generous and light-hearted spirit who touched everybody who knew her. Mary worked hard to make her house a home for her family and had a style and personality that engendered the love of her family and friends. A real “one of a kind”. And for all that she will surely be missed.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband on October 31, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Marty in infancy.
Survivors include her three sons: Bill Lowman and his wife Susan of Manhattan, Steve Lowman of Topeka, and Tom Lowman and his wife Audra of Topeka; two siblings: Sue Parker of Lenexa, KS, and Bill Washington and his wife Sharron of Manhattan; and four grandchildren: Ben, Emily, Claire and Abigail Lowman.
