GMCF Grants: Investing in Our Community

GMCF is excited to announce that we have recently dispersed Grants for Greater Manhattan, one Deihl Community Grant, and one Deihl Community Arts Grant for a total of $193,438.50!

Grants for Greater Manhattan – $149,788.50 

Thirty-one grants were awarded to area non-profits. Grants include the summer field trip program at the Boys and Girls Club, Dairy Dollars (weekly milk distribution program) at the Flint Hills Breadbasket, and Project Excel at UFM, which provides life skill classes to adults 18 and older that include independent living skills and improve their interaction with the variety of participants in the program.

1st Quarter Deihl Community Grant - $28,650.00 

Common Table has the opportunity to partner with USD 383 to offer meals in a single location at 901 Poyntz Avenue (former Manhattan High School East Campus) beginning in fall 2024. Grant funds will be used to purchase kitchen equipment supplies and offer meals seven nights a week in a single location.

1st Quarter Deihl Community Art Grant - $15,000

This year marks the 35th that Juneteenth will be recognized in our community. This year’s theme is “Honoring our Past, Shaping our Future. Activities include a fashion show, an Arts in the Park concert featuring Grammy award winners Regina Belle and Chris Walker, an amateur BBQ cook-off, a Unity Walk, and three-on-three basketball tournaments.
