Flint Hills Volunteer Center

In 2021, the Flint Hills Volunteer Center was honored as a recipient of the YES! FUND grant, which played a crucial role in supporting its mission within the community. The Flint Hills Volunteer Center actively promotes positive changes and assists those in need by bringing together volunteers. Its core programs include Elder Justice, Suicide Awareness, and Neighbor 2 Neighbor.

The Flint Hills Volunteer Center continued its vital work throughout 2021 with support from the YES! Fund. Over the year, the center successfully undertook numerous projects, positively impacting the lives of over 1,401 individuals. One noteworthy achievement made possible by the Yes! FUND was constructing a new disc golf course at Camp Tomah Shinga, a foster teen camp. Additionally, the center facilitated Toys for Manhattan, an initiative providing holiday gifts to underprivileged families.

Furthermore, the Flint Hills Volunteer Center witnessed the dedication of numerous group projects and individual volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the year. Their collective efforts not only enhanced the town but also made a significant difference in the lives of others.
