Big Brothers Big Sisters - 2022

Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization in Riley County that connects adults and children, fostering meaningful relationships through shared activities. Currently, Riley County ranks first in the region for creating new matches. These matches engage in one-on-one and group activities, from going to the Sunset Zoo to creating sidewalk chalk art, providing enriching experiences for mentors and mentees.

In 2022, the Youth Impacting Community granted $1,500 to support Big Brothers Big Sisters' efforts in forming new matches. This funding plays a role in facilitating training and ongoing match supervision conducted by Match Support Specialists, ensuring the relationships formed have a positive impact. Thanks to the support from YIC, Big Brothers Big Sisters continues to significantly impact the lives of children in the Riley County community, fostering positive connections and personal growth.
