Dirk Daveline

2004 - 2006 Board President

 Dirk has lived in Manhattan since 1983. He graduated in 1987 and has worked at First Savings Bank and Kansas Lumber Homestore. For the last 27 years, he has been at Steel and Pipe Supply Company, Inc., a private steel distributor and manufacturer in the carbon and galvanized steel space. He currently serves as the Vice President/Chief Financial Officer.   

He serves as a trustee for several of the Goldstein related trusts, which have ownership in SPS Companies, Inc...  He has also been an active volunteer in many social service agencies during his career and is serving his second term on the Flint Hills Breadbasket board. He has held positions as Board Chair and Treasurer in all his boards. He is currently involved with Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community and is currently a board member of Ascension Health Care in Manhattan and Wamego. He enjoys being involved in his community and believes that an organization can improve with active involvement by community members. He is married to a fourth-grade teacher and has two grown children starting their careers in accounting and education.

• One of the first nine executive board members tasked to lead the foundation.
• He donated the $200 filing fee needed to incorporate GMCF as a 501(c)3 organization.
• Build a proforma document to track the foundation's performance and projections over the years, which is still used today.
